Catholic Partnership Schools

About the Catholic Partnership Schools

Funded by the International Education Foundation, the parent organization of the Catholic School Development Program, the Catholic Partnership Schools initiative addresses the special needs of schools that educate low-income students.

The Partnership grew out of the Catholic School Development Program’s consulting to the Diocese of Camden, New Jersey, on how to revitalize the schools that teach students who live in Camden, one of the country’s most underserved cities. After considerable research and analysis consistent with CSDP’s approach, the  Partnership launched in the fall of 2008.

Because of the burdens shouldered by public schools in urban areas, Catholic schools often stand as the last chance for students there. The schools’ values-based education both prepares these students for college and professional life and imparts the kind of personal investment that makes them want to return and rebuild their communities.

The Catholic Partnership Schools are united schools in urban areas. By infusing cutting-edge educational resources and a strong business model, The Partnership’s board seeks to revitalize the schools and engage a broad base of support.
